YOUTH SERVICES

Except for projects that directly relate to the Service Leadership Committee, responsible for all projects that benefit children from birth to age 18 (e.g. Head Start, Child Car Seat Program, Girl/Boy Scouts, YMCA & Little League teams, bowling party for underprivileged, etc),.
SERVICE LEADERSHIP (Formerly Sponsored Youth)
Co-Chairs – Johanna Weaver & Tom Bordigon
Responsible to provide Kiwanis member-advisors and general guidance/support to the other “Kiwanis Family” service clubs such as: Key Clubs (High School), Builder’s Clubs (Jr. High/Middle School), Kiwanis Kids (Elementary/Intermediate School) and Aktion Club (Adults with developmental disabilities.). This committee also selects the recipient of the Jim Bramblet Citation.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Responsible for projects/events benefiting the area community in general, the environment/conservation, etc.(e.g. Christmas in April, Jacob Stroud Corp., Police Officer & Correction Officer Recognition, Telethons, Highway Clean-up, Siding the E. Stroudsburg Recreation Building. Red Cross Blood Drives, Environmental, etc.)

Responsible for the annual clergy recognition, invocation at meetings, etc. in support of spiritual aims.

Responsible to achieve a “new members inducted” goal, conduct thorough pre-induction orientations for prospective new members, promote weekly attendance by all members, assure members adhere to the club dues policy, and properly educate all members about Kiwanis and our club.

At the weekly meeting, provide high quality programs that are interesting, entertaining, informative, etc. The goal is to have it be the “best ticket in town” at 12:05 P every Wednesday.

Responsible to arrange for groups of 4 or more members to visit the meetings of other Kiwanis Clubs. Strive to have as many different members as possible take part during the year.
